What exactly is a single-line diagram?
A single-line diagram condenses each circuit of your home into a single line — hence the name. Where a wiring diagram shows every conductor separately, the single-line diagram bundles the conductors into a clear, readable representation. That very simplicity is what makes it useful for the inspector and for you.

When do you need a single-line diagram?
In Belgium a single-line diagram is mandatory in many situations:

- When selling or renting out a home, together with the inspection report
- For the periodic re-inspection (every 25 years for homes)
- For any extension: solar panels, a charging point, a home battery or a heat pump
What does it contain?
